**PAPER MODEL — NOT BETTING ADVICE — $0 STAKED.**

Workout videos invite a familiar mistake: searching for a dramatic move and treating it as a verdict. Golden Tempo's April 17, 2026 work at Keeneland is more interesting for a quieter reason.

## The setup

Keeneland's official report described Golden Tempo working a half-mile in **:47** on a fast track, inside Not to Worry. BloodHorse's photo record independently identifies the same arrangement: Golden Tempo inside, Not to Worry outside, with Jose Ortiz aboard.

In the video, the pair remains close through the visible side-by-side sequence. The camera changes angle and the horses are sometimes partially occluded, so a frame-level lead should not be treated as a measured acceleration. The rider's posture appears controlled in the sampled frames, but the clip does not support a claim about fitness, intent, or future probability by itself.

## What the clock adds

The headline half-mile was not the entire work. Keeneland reported that Golden Tempo galloped out five furlongs in **:59.40** and six furlongs in **1:12**. The most defensible visual-and-timing story is therefore continuation after the half-mile—not a cinematic burst away from the workmate.

## The hindsight test

NYRA's later profile records Golden Tempo's 2026 Kentucky Derby and Belmont Stakes victories. That makes the April clip compelling to revisit, but it also creates a trap: later success cannot be used to claim that the workout video predicted either result. The video is evidence of what happened in that work; the race results are a separate retrospective fact.

**Bottom line:** the clue was not simply the :47 half-mile. It was the combination of a controlled paired work and a documented continuation to six furlongs—interesting evidence, but not a prediction.
